Artist, florist, gardener, and dear friend Jenny of Studio Seapink asked if she could come and create a bridal bouquet for a friend using our flowers. The brief was loose; whatever is available, whatever feels most beautiful, whatever you think. The perfect brief. We spent the morning looking at the flowers together, deciding on a palette, choosing stems, cutting them, and bringing them into the studio to admire and work with. Jenny made the bouquet while I photographed and filmed her, and we talked throughout. The act of making a bouquet, alongside the ordinariness of two friends talking, became a reflection on colour and the many subtle decisions involved in working with flowers.
