Petals contain layers of tone, temperature, and luminosity that shift with age, weather, light, and season. The Colour Studies seeks to document this complexity through visual essays that record colour not as a fixed thing, but as a living and changing phenomenon. Part botanical record, part artistic enquiry, each study considers how colour shapes our experience of flowers, the garden, and the seasons. The Colour Studies form a growing library of seasonal palettes, archiving the fleeting colours of the garden and offering inspiration and a deeper understanding of the visual language of flowers.
