Welcome to The Flower Portraits, an archive of short films exploring the relationship between people and flowers. Each filmed portrait is a document to the joyful and mindful interactions that happen in our studio and garden; between people, flowers, landscape, and time. Through moving image, we record not only the flowers themselves, but the hands, gestures, conversations, atmospheres, and moments that surround them. Like flowers, these portraits capture moments that are seasonal and ephemeral. Each film features a particular person, season, practice, and moment in time, reflecting the rhythms of our work with flowers, the garden, the farm, and the changing character of the year. The Flower Portraits explores how flowers exist within everyday life; through friendship, creativity, observation, work, celebration, memory, and the quiet rituals that connect us to them and the natural world around us.
