At Days of Dahlia, we pride ourselves on growing the most beautiful flowers you and your guests have ever seen and with four decades of experience in wedding floristry, we turn those wild, garden flowers into exquisite wedding designs.
We have worked in all types of venues across Scotland, from castles, churches, heritage properties, country houses, estates, and private homes, to art galleries, museums, restaurants, luxury sailcloth marquees, converted farm steadings, and gardens. We specialise in timeless, luxurious and romantic floral designs, growing garden flowers exclusively for our clients that are natural, seasonal, sustainable, and most of all, beautiful.
All of our wedding designs are made with our own farm-grown flowers from April to October. From November to March, we work with a combination of our own farm-grown fresh and dried flowers and a small amount of seasonal flowers sourced from British growers in the South of England. We never import flowers from overseas and we only use flowers which are seasonal, natural, chemical-free, and locally sourced. THE WEDDING PARTY
Carefully crafted and beautiful accessories for members of the wedding party for brides, grooms, and the nearest and dearest you chose to stand along side you. Each unique piece is created especially for its holder or wearer using our unique, farm-grown, seasonal flowers in a colour palette of your choice and finished with our studio's own range of botanically dyed silk ribbons.
All of the bouquets and accessories below are suitable for brides, grooms, bridesmaids, best women, best men, groomsmen, parents, friends, and flower girls and boys. We leave it up to you to decide which size and style you would like for you and the members of your wedding party to carry or wear; from a delicate petite posy to a gestural statement bouquet, or from a detailed boutonniere to a floral corsage.
PETITE POSY

The petite posy is a delicate cluster of seasonal flowers and fragrant herbs, arranged in our signature round shape with a few gestural stems to create a gentle movement.

SINGLE VARIETY BOUQUET

A single variety bouquet is a timeless design, composed with just one flower variety of your choice, either in a monochromatic or a mixed colour palette. Constructed in our signature, undone style and gently arranged into a round shape with the shape and movement determined by the flower variety. We are able to advise on what varieties will be available for this type of design at the time of your wedding.

SIGNATURE BOUQUET

The signature bouquet is an elegant, lightweight and highly detailed design, composed with seasonal flowers and foliage in our signature, undone style. The signature bouquet is gently arranged into a round shape with lots of gestural stems for movement and dancing stems when you walk.
The signature bouquet is approximately 30cms at its widest point and 28cms high is intended to be held in one or two hands.
STATEMENT BOUQUET

The statement bouquet is deluxe, highly detailed, and overflowing with seasonal flowers and foliage with an open, loose and overflowing construction. Gestural stems extend out from the statement bouquet giving it a wild look with lots of movement and dancing stems when you walk. Despite its size, the statement bouquet is still very lightweight and portable.

CRESCENT BOUQUET

A crescent bouquet is an elegant and contemporary design, composed with seasonal flowers and foliage in our signature, undone style. The crescent bouquet is gently arranged into a oval shape with flowers extending upwards to take the shape of the elbows when held. The crescent shaped bouquet also has lots of gestural, dancing stems for movement when you walk.
The signature bouquet is approximately 30-40cms at its widest point and 28cms high is intended to be held in one or two hands.
SHEAF BOUQUET

A sheaf bouquet is a classic and elegant design which is front facing and composed with seasonal flowers and foliage in an upright shape which is front facing and intended to rest on and follow the line of the arm.
The sheaf bouquet is approximately 25cms at its widest point and 45cms high and is intended to be held in one hand.
CASCADE BOUQUET

The cascade bouquet is a romantic and showstopping construction of seasonal flowers and vines tumbling towards the floor. Overflowing stems are placed at the front of the bouquet to cascade from the holder's hands, to create a natural, trailing effect. Gestural stems and cascading vines create movement and interest when you walk. Despite its size, the statement bouquet is still very lightweight and portable.

The statement bouquet is approximately 30cms wide at its widest point and has a 50cms long cascade to the front. We can create bespoke lengths on request. It is intended to be held in one or two hands.
FOLIAGE BOUQUET

The foliage bouquet is a simple, wild and lush bouquet of fragrant greenery composed in an undone and loosely round shape. Despite its simplicity, the foliage bouquet is still a beautiful statement with lots of movement added with gestural stems and vines.

POMANDER

A sheaf bouquet is a classic and elegant design which is front facing and composed with seasonal flowers and foliage in an upright shape which is front facing and intended to rest on and follow the line of the arm.

BESPOKE BOUQUET

A bespoke size, shape or design built specifically to the holder's request. If you have an idea for a bouquet that you have never seen before, we would love to work with you to bring it to life.

BOUTONNIERE
£18
A boutonniere is like a miniature bouquet or posy, made with intricate sprigs of flower buds and herbs, finished with a silk ribbon and a pearl-topped pin, perfectly scaled for wearing on the left lapel. Boutonnieres are finished with a small tie of botanically dyed 100% silk ribbon.

The boutonniere is approximately 8cms at its widest point and 10cms high including the stems.
CORSAGE

A corsage is larger than a boutonniere and is made with a focal bloom, delicate small flowers and buds and sprigs of foliage, finished with a silk ribbon and pearl-topped pin, intended to be worn on the wearer's left hand side below the shoulder finished with finished with a small tie of botanically dyed 100% silk ribbon. A magnet can be provided for delicate fabrics.

WRISTLET

A wristlet is a delicate cluster of small flowers, buds and sprigs of foliage, intended to be worn flat on the top of the wrist secured with a flowing, botanically dyed 100% silk ribbon.

FLOWER CROWN

A statement headpiece and delicately wired crown with a range of focal blooms and dainty, small flowers intended to be worn on the front of the head from ear to ear and tied at the back with a botanically dyed 100% silk ribbon.

A statement headpiece and delicately wired circlet, skilfully handcrafted with 100s of dainty, small flowers and leaves intended to be worn all the way around the head and tied at the back with a botanically dyed 100% silk ribbon.

A cluster of small focal blooms, delicate small flowers, buds and sprigs of foliage wired onto a silver-plated comb or silver hair slide.

SILK RIBBONS

All of our bouquets and floral accessories are finished with our 100% silk ribbons (or vegan cotton silk or linen on request) which are botanically dyed at our studio with the plants and flowers from our farm. We have a wide range of beautiful, unique and natural colours for our clients to choose from to compliment their colour palette.
GIFT BOUQUET

A presentation bouquet for gifts and thank yous. The gift bouquet is massed with seasonal flowers and foliage arranged in a glass cylinder vase, wrapped in tissue and presented in a gift box with a note card to write a personal message.

THE CEREMONY
Our bespoke ceremony statements are designed specially for the setting, the space and the type of ceremony you wish to have. Floral installations set the tone, bring the outside into a room, provide a visual welcome for your guests, demarcate an outdoor ceremony space, provide a beautiful photography backdrop, and create exciting statements to remember.
All of our arrangements and installations are built without the use of plastic cable ties, plastic vases, or floral foam using 100% environmentally friendly techniques, reusable metal armatures, glass and jute twine. These constructions require specialist skill, ingenuity and experience to create and require additional labour to construct and deconstruct the day after your wedding. All armatures and structures are hired for the duration of the wedding and will be collected by our team during the take down the following day including the flowers for composting.

GROUNDED FLORALS

A meadow arrangement and 'growing from the ground' illusion piece which can be used singly for the end of an aisle or pew. Grounded florals can also be assembled in multiples in a line or curve to create a "grounded arch" for a ceremony space.

PETAL CONFETTI

Biodegradable and naturally colourful confetti mix made with the dried petals of our farm-grown flowers. Each handful is supplied in a pre-rolled, compostable paper cone.
HANDFASTING RIBBONS
£10 per metre
100% botanically dyed silk ribbons from our studio made collection for usage in the traditional and ancient Scottish tradition of hand fasting. Ribbons can be customised to match the colours used in bouquets, floral accessories, and other styling elements.
TABLES
We create beautiful tabletop designs which add a dynamic finishing touch to your celebratory feast. We highly recommend the addition of candlelight which adds a sense of alchemy and takes the festivities from day to night (please see 'details' list below for candlesticks and candelabras). We have a beautiful collection of unique vases, vessels, flower bowls, candlesticks, and candelabras to make your dinner tables extra special, distinctive, dynamic and interesting. As an approximate guideline for small vases such as the apothecary bottle or bud vase, we recommend at 1 vase every 1-2 guests depending on other table styling, the size of table and the type of meal you are having. Our garden bowls and centrepieces can either be arranged in a rounded shape for large circular tables seating 8-10, or arranged in a linear shape for rectangular tables and placed every 5 guests. Prices include the hire of the vase plus the flower arrangement. All vases are hired for the duration of the wedding and will be collected by our team during the take down the following day.

VENUE FLOWERS
We create bespoke naturalistic installations to decorate your venue, bring the outside into a room, provide a visual floral welcome for your guests, and highlight key areas of the celebrations. Our installations are custom-designed for the space or built onto the fabric of the building's interior or exterior. Choose from floor-standing, wall based and hanging pieces to a series of small floral gestures at an entrance to a full sweeping staircase design.

The addition of candlelight creates a unique alchemy and brings a sense of festivity to the table taking your reception from day to night. From classic ivory dinner candles, an array of fun coloured tapers, natural beeswax candles with an incredible warm honey scent, to flickering tea-lights and church candles in polished glass lanterns, we have a large collection of candles and holders to complement your meal and your flowers.
