Join Lauren & Louisina in their bright, flower filled studio for a floristry open day and immerse yourself in the magical world of flowers and floristry. This event will coincide with the launch of our 2025 workshop programme and all workshops will be available to book on the day. This is the perfect opportunity to meet the Days of Dahlia tutors, get a feel for our flower school, learn more about the next round of workshops, ask questions, and meet kindred spirits who are also interested in flowers and floristry.

We will open the day with a presentation about our teaching methods, sustainability ethos, our backgrounds, and our farm-grown flowers with an overview on all workshops and courses. There will then be a series of demos; a handtied bouquet using the "twist" technique, a wearable floral accessory, and a garden-bowl with sustainable mechanics.

This open event is designed to introduce you to our flower school and our workshop programme. This is a free event and open to all; from newcomers to those who have attended our flower school before. However, if you wish to book a workshop on the day and/or purchase flowers and flower arranging tools, we have the facilities to take orders and bookings on the day.

Delicious refreshments and snacks will be served. We will also have beautiful flowers and artistic arrangements to view in the studio to give you a taste of what is possible to achieve on each of our workshops. You are welcome to join us for the full day or a portion of it.

Our flower school near Glasgow delivers a programme of sustainable floristry classes and courses that celebrate seasonal flowers, combining the art of garden-style flower arranging with practical tuition on sustainable, foam-free and plastic-free mechanics. We provide support and inspiration in developing your own floral style and encourage you to develop confidence and flair by slowly building your taste and experience. By allowing yourself to be attuned to nature and its imperfections, your arrangements will in turn be more authentic and more beautiful. Our workshops always use our own farm-grown flowers. We don't use floral foam in any of our work or teaching.
