Learn beautiful, alternative, and sustainable methods to create funeral tributes that are meaningful, celebratory and natural. This two day course will provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to produce three naturally styled sympathy designs using foam-free techniques; a living wreath, a handtied sheaf and a teardrop casket spray. We will demonstrate how to implement our sustainable methods as well as how to approach the business side of funeral flowers covering including working with funeral directors, communicating with those who are grieving, costing, and how to market your business in this unique part of the industry which is notoriously difficult to break into. We will also provide a beautiful willow casket for each student to use as an all-important prop for taking your own photographs for your professional funeral flowers portfolio.
This intensive two day course is packed full of the creative, practical and business skills you require to provide funeral designs and tributes. We will cover a number of floristry design staples and core skills as well as discussions on how to enter the funeral industry. With over four decades of experience in the industry, we ensure that you leave our course equipped with the knowledge and confidence you require to add sustainable sympathy flowers to your reportoire. The aim of the course is to provide a foundation in funeral floristry skills and techniques to find your own style in creating beautiful designs that you can sell.
Each class will include a demonstration and walk through on the techniques. Support and guidance will be given on the construction of the design with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

There will be a seasonal selection of our farm-grown flowers and foliage to work with. Our workshops always use our own farm-grown flowers. We never use imported flowers, floral foam or plastic in any of our work or teaching.
